Independent SME funder, Bibby Financial Services (BFS), has announced its move to new offices in Brentwood, as part of its growth plan to support more UK businesses.
BFS employs more than 850 people throughout the UK and has moved its North London Business Centre from Jubilee House to Academy Place, 1-9 Brook Street, signing a new 10 year lease for the 3024 sq ft office space.
The office is home to funding and foreign exchange specialists, tasked with helping SMEs to grow through both domestic and overseas trade.
Clare Jeffs, Head of North London Business Centre commented: “With fantastic transport links to London and the South East, the Midlands, East and South of England, Brentwood is a strategically important location for us. In addition, Brentwood and the surrounding areas are a hotspot for enterprise, enabling us to expand our support for UK PLC at a time when many small businesses need a helping hand.
“We first opened our North London Business Centre in 2015 and since this time we have outgrown our original premises, both with regard to employee and client numbers.
“As such, we needed to find new offices that could both satisfy our needs now and in the future as we continue to grow. Academy Place is a fantastic location and gives us the option to take further space as we expand in the future.”
BFS is the UK’s largest independent invoice finance provider. It supports more than 7,000 UK businesses with its Invoice Finance, Asset Finance, Foreign Exchange, Trade Finance and Export Finance solutions. Globally, the business’s funding capability amounts to more than £1bn.
BFS launched its Foreign Exchange business in 2016, following regulatory approval from the Financial Conduct Authority.
Michael McGowan, Managing Director of Foreign Exchange at BFS added: “We have significantly expanded the range of services we provide to small businesses in recent years, and this has enabled us to support a larger number of SMEs.
“Unlike other financial services providers, we take a relationship-based approach to funding, which means that we can work with our clients, online, over the telephone or face-to-face.
“As such, it’s important that we have premises that can accommodate this personal touch. I’m delighted with our new, professional offices at Academy Place and look forward to welcoming our clients and the wider business community to visit our North London Business Centre in the months ahead.”
In March BFS was awarded 33rd place in the Sunday Times Best Companies to Work For in 2017.
