Our new client, a temporary recruitment agency specialising in the dental sector, faced funding restrictions from its bank. We stepped in with a £600,000 Confidential Invoice Discounting (CID) facility. Through swift action, including arranging a deed of priority, we ensured that 400 staff received their final pay package before Christmas, safeguarding jobs and livelihoods during a critical time. The entire process, from lead to payout, was completed in just five days.

Research: SME Confidence Tracker Q3 2024

The latest SME Confidence Tracker highlights a cautiously optimistic SME community. While 68% of SMEs anticipate sales growth in the next six months and 52% plan significant investments, challenges remain. Rising bad debts, prolonged payment times, and a complex external finance landscape hinder growth. The findings underscore the need for targeted support and actionable Government policies to help SMEs unlock their full potential.

Research: Trading Places Report

We spoke to 500 UK-headquartered businesses that import and/or export goods and services overseas. Even with difficult trading conditions globally, SMEs remain cautiously optimistic, focusing on opportunities ahead. Half of those who export and a similar proportion of importers (45%) believe sales volumes will increase over the next six months.

Our teams across the West Midlands, London, and the Southeast hosted two key construction sector events, bringing together intermediaries, professional service providers, and industry experts.

In Birmingham, our West Midlands team held a Construction Sector Briefing featuring market insights from Naismiths and dispute resolution strategies from Freeths. Meanwhile, our London & Southeast team co-hosted a construction event with Gallagher Insurance, covering Bond and Trade Credit solutions, followed by a Q&A with Gallagher's Rugby Ambassadors.

We were delighted to attend construction expos across the country, from the UK Construction Week to the Kent Construction Expo and the Welsh Construction Expo. Our teams connected with construction businesses and intermediaries, discussing industry challenges and showcasing how our solutions, including Invoice Finance, Asset Finance, and FX, can support SMEs in the sector.
